1. Introduction
"No More Duplicate Tabs" (the "Extension") is designed to help users manage their browser tabs by identifying and removing duplicates. We prioritize your privacy and believe in full transparency regarding how data is handled.
2. Information Collection and Use
The Extension follows a "Privacy by Design" philosophy:
- Browsing Data: The Extension uses the tabs permission to read URLs and titles of your open tabs strictly to identify duplicates. This data is processed locally in your browser and is never transmitted to any external server.
- User Preferences: The Extension uses the storage permission to save your granular control settings (e.g., "Automate deduplication" or "Whitelist"). This data remains on your local device.
3. Data Storage and Security
- No Remote Storage: We do not operate any databases or cloud storage. Your data never leaves your machine.
- No Personal Information: We do not collect names, email addresses, IP addresses, or any other personally identifiable information (PII).
4. Third-Party Access
Because we do not collect any data, we do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer any information to outside parties. There are no third-party trackers or analytics scripts embedded in the Extension.
5. Compliance with Chrome Web Store Policies
This Extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We only request the minimum permissions necessary to provide the core functionality of the Extension.
